Beautiful Beau is full of life and incredibly inquisitive. This delightful boy loves going for a walk, sleeps well through the night, loves to eat, is happy to travel in the car and enjoys hanging out whatever you might be doing, and of course is toilet trained.

Beau enjoys two walks a day at the moment, even if the evening walk is just a quick 10 min walk around the block. This gives him the opportunity have a good sniff, check out the wee mail and expel some of his energy. Beau is a young Grey who is an extreme sticky beak and likes to put is nose in whatever he walks by. He also does still have the puppy traits of collecting random items and having a chew. He gets along well with most Greyhounds he meets, but is a bit pushy with other dogs, but has no problem walking past them.

Beau enjoys his soft and squeaky toys, trotting around with them or just collecting them on his bed. Although interested in balls and Kongs and happy to chase after them Beau has not quite got the idea of bringing them back. He enjoys a good zoom around a grassed yard and loves to wander around having a sniff so it would be great if his forever home has a grassy patch to zoom on and burn off excess energy.

Beau is no trouble at night, easily sleeping through. He currently sleeps in his own bed outside his foster carers room. Beau does not lay/snooze on the couch or bed, but if he were allowed to, I am sure he would be very happy to do so. He has learnt some boundaries, like mostly staying out of the kitchen, waiting when his food is put down and most times waiting at the front door before coming in. He walks well on the lead, but he is a strong boy who can still be startled by loud strange noises, so walking him in a harness will be the best option for Beau.

Beau is quite the character and has lovely funny ears that sit in different positions – he is full of expression. He is happy to hang out while you watch TV or garden, but he is a sticky nose and likes to know where you are and what you are doing, so he may suit a busy household where someone is around a lot of the time, a busy and inclusive family, a part time worker or an active retiree. Beau is currently fostered with another Greyhound and is only left at home by himself if the dogs are being walked separately. Perhaps a household with another Greyhound would also be a great for Beau as he really likes company.

Beau would ideally suit someone who has previous large dog experience and who is happy to work with Beau to help him be the best version of himself, but mostly someone who will give this sticky beak the love he deserves.
