Introducing the spectacular Miss Dakota (Kota). Practically perfect in almost every way. Kota is a confident young girl who just loves having a go at everything, she has no hang-ups. She is small girl, who is friendly, inquisitive, eager to please and just loves spending her time with you.
Want to go for a drive? Kota will be right beside you, she is learning to get in the car herself but sometimes needs a hand, she travels well in the car and is perfect on long trips especially if she can hang her head out a window for a short while and watch the world go by. Want a day at the beach or a river? Kota will happily paddle along the edge beside you, dig a hole or laze in the sun. Want to go for a coffee? Kota will happily receive all the attention that such a beautiful creature attracts from people walking past.
Feel like walking? Kota will be there in seconds when she sees her lead coming out. Kota will keep you well entertained with her zooming antics around the back yard so a grassed space is essential. Kota is reward orientated and she learns new skills and commands well with repetition.
When Kota has finished zooming, playing with her toys, then she enjoys nothing more than a scratch and a snooze. Kota has an iron cast bladder and at night when she goes to bed (preferable in your room) she will not wake until you stir and ask her to get up. She is house trained and will let you know when she needs to go outside by pacing between you and the door.
Kota loves being with people so she needs someone who is home the majority of the time. Dakota is very active in the back yard so needs some space where she can stretch her legs and do what greyhounds love to do - RUN!!!.
Kota has mainly been living with another greyhound and having another playful greyhound companion would suit Kota best, but if she has someone home with her all day then she will be equally happy. We think Dakota would also be fine with a medium/small other breed dog.
Kota is a play machine and loves toys that squeak, toys that she can throw around, toys that she can chase and bring back, kongs and other tough chew toys that she can sink her teeth into are a favourite.
Kota has adjusted well to pet life and is now looking for her forever home with someone who will cherish her as much as her foster home does.
