Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:

- Time to walk an energetic dog
- A yard for a young greyhound to run around

Ellie is quite lively when she’s out on a walk and acts like a much younger dog. She’s constantly scanning from side to side and notices every movement near and far. She’s still not keen on noisy traffic, so would suit quieter suburbia. She walks well on a lead and doesn’t pull, but she can get over-excited when seeing another dog. A few careful words and a short lead and then she’s fine.

She does love to run around the back garden and has lots of energy outdoors. But indoors she’s a different dog and loves to lie by the window in the sun and sleep. She loves the sun and is always looking for a sunny spot. She is well toilet-trained. She travels well in the car lies down for the journey.

Ellie loves any small furry toy and these are carried back to her bed as a trophy.
She can be quite bouncy first thing in the morning throwing her toy up in the air or chasing after it around the house. She’s just a delightful young dog. She loves cuddles and being brushed and will stand leaning against you for ages wanting cuddles. She has a lot of love to give.

She’s getting 2 x 30min walks a day and doesn’t appear tired after a walk. On her walk she wags her tail when anyone walks past as she wants to say hello to everyone. Most people don’t stop but when they do she’s all waggy tail and goes in for a cuddle. She is such a good-natured dog and would get on well with another medium/large dog as a companion.

We think she’d suit a young couple or family with older children, but all up she’s a dream of a dog with a gentle nature that needs a home that can cope with a dog young at heart.
