Looking for a greyhound who could live with a cat and prefers walks in quieter areas?

Well, meet the handsome Kane! He should've been called George Clooney with his debonair 5 o'clock shadow. This charming, fawn boy is just as lovely on the inside as he is on the outside. He's the most gentle soul you could meet and is sure to quickly win the hearts of his new forever family.

Kane came into foster care as a shy dog and is still learning how to manage this new world as a pet that he's found himself in. Kane is still wary of strangers, but he can't seem to stop his happy helicopter tail from going a million miles an hour whenever his foster family returns home.
His very gentle nature means he should easily be cat trainable - he has totally ignored the few cats he has been exposed to.

Kane has the adorable greyhound trait of borrowing items from his humans to decorate his bed. Pillows, tea towels, socks and shoes have all found their way to Kane's big comfy bed. Thankfully he is just a collector and no damage is done! He happily lollops around in the backyard, exploring and sometimes taking a little 'bath' in his foster families old disused bathtub. So far, he has happily spent a few hours outside by himself without any issues.

His foster family are always around other medium to large dogs, so Kane has had the chance to play with breeds of all sorts, including another greyhound and has been very good. He has been living with a Greyhound and a Staffy who he gets along well with and enjoys their company. He is not so interested in small dogs and just gives a polite sniff.

Kane loves being at home, happily trotting or zooming about in the backyard. He'd enjoy a clam shell sandpit to dig in or to have a splash in, some doggy toys and a bone a few times a week make Kane one happy hound. He's a real homebody and prefers to be inside the house with you. Kane would love a doggy companion to play with and to curl up beside at night-time as he's always been around other dogs and likes their company.

The outside world is still a bit scary for Kane, which very well may change given time and patience, but his goofy personality really shines through when he's comfortable at home. So he needs quieter areas for his walks and a patient owner. That's why another greyhound or doggie companion would be ideal to boost his confidence when out walking.

The way to Kane's heart may well be through his stomach! He's a hearty eater and was caught opening the door to the laundry where the food is kept with that helicopter tail giving away his accomplishment.

Kane is still unsure about new people, particularly men, but his foster family see his confidence grow daily and this absolutely gorgeous boy will have so much love and affection to give once he is a loved member of your family. He just loves getting pats and cuddles from his family.
