Willow is looking for a new home through no fault of her own!
While Willow is an older girl who has just turned 11 in April; she hopes this doesn’t put you off, as she is a loving and healthy dog.
Willow has been a winner on the racetrack and so became a broodie, having three litters of puppies. She finally got the chance to live as a pet for the past two years and is very much loved. Her pet-owner is devastated that due to a change in circumstances she is forced to re-home Willow.
She’s learned many things during her pet-life, including a love of couches! She enjoys saying hello to anyone but isn’t pushy if people are not interested. She has learned the joys of treats, and she has beautiful manners when accepting them. She loves going for a walk, although it’s more of a sniff than a spritely walk. She enjoys a ride in the car. Willow is a beautiful girl and has many friends who love her gentle nature. She loves nothing better than a snuggle.
Naturally she likes to be part of the day-to-day activities and know where you are. She is excited when you get back after being out, welcoming you with a bounce and a bark. She has one very definite habit! She wants her dinner at 4 o'clock. Somehow, she always knows the time and can be very persistent in reminding you as it get close. She demolishes her dinner, then happily settles back on a couch.
She is an old racer, so she is not suited to a home with a cat. She is very gentle with children and is happy to be a lone dog or have a companion. She has minor arthritis in her shoulder, and recently had her teeth cleaned and some extractions.
Willow has lots of love and snuggles to give, if you have a couch to share her twilight years.
