Baz is just a lovely friendly boy and so we are stumped as to why he has been in R2R's care for almost a year without finding a forever home. He is very handsome and has the shiniest black coat!
Baz will surely win your heart if you come and met him. He walks well on lead, learns quickly, loves going for drives in the car, sleeps through the night, is a good eater, enjoys a good head rub, but is not needy.
Currently Baz enjoys two walks a day, he walks at a steady pace and will pick it up a notch when asked, but he also likes to sniff and enjoy his time out and about checking out the wee mail. He travels well in the car and easily jumps in himself.
Bestest Boy Baz sleeps in the lounge room, and easily sleeps through the night. Baz has not been encouraged to climb on beds or couches, but I’m sure he would love to, if allowed. Baz is a clever boy, is good at learning boundaries and mostly manages to stay out of the kitchen, and waits at the back door until told to enter. He loves to have pats. He is happy to chase a ball, but not bring it back and he does enjoy playing with his stuffed toys from time to time.
Like most Greyhounds Baz does enjoy a good zoom around the yard, a wander and sniff and he is quite happy to find a spot on the grass to snooze and watch the world go by, so ideally a grassy yard would be great for Baz.
Baz is a very happy friendly dog who is fantastic to have around the home and is a wonderful companion. He is happy to hang out whatever you may be doing, but he also likes to have some Baz time snoozing away. Bazza is ok to leave at home for short periods of time but would prefer to have someone around more often than not. Baz ideally needs someone who will provide him with leadership so he can be the Bestest possible Baz - happy and confident.
Baz gets along with other Greyhounds, but can be a little scared of other dog breeds and will generally try to move away from them.
As Baz can get a fright from sudden unexpected noises, we feel he will be best in an home with adults and would not suit a family with children.
