Bonnie is a sweet and smoochy girl who loves to be around the family.

Bonnie has shown patience with toddlers, children and teenagers. She is interested in where they are and often seeks out the school aged children at her foster mums workplace for pats and cuddles. She loves her whippet foster brother, and has learnt a lot about being a pet by watching him - including using carpeted stairs and is learning how to navigate a dog door. Bonnie is learning to play with toys and understanding that its more fun sharing with others. She also travels beautifully in the car. Waiting for the whippet to settle, then snuggling into his side, but she is still learning how to get in and out of the car herself, so requires a lift in and out.

She would do best in a home with another medium to large dog to continue to build her confidence. She walks well on lead, but can get nervous and do the 'greyhound statue', needing reassurance and some patience to keep her moving. This is where having a canine friend on walks has been helpful.

Bonnie may also thrive in a home where someone was home all day with her or could take her with them to work or running errands. She is fairly sedentary and happy to sleep by your side most of the day. Bonnie doesn't choose to spend time in our yard, only going out for the toilet and zipping back inside, so she may suit a home with no yard with some short toilet walks.
