- A home with lots of love to give this gorgeous gal

Bunny is a sweet, smoochy, shadow, with the softest coat, she quite literally feels like a bunny. She connected quickly with the females in her foster home, but has been slower to warm up to the males, but only when indoors. Her foster family consists of 2 adults, 2 teenagers and a whippet. When she is out for walks and cafe dates, she is confident and welcomes attention from anyone and everyone. She enjoys meeting dogs and humans of all shapes and sizes at the dog park, happy to remain on lead even when others are running around. She also spends time at her foster mums workplace and enjoys pats from children of all ages. She walks beautifully on lead and loves going in the car. She does need to be helped in, and sometimes out, but settles quickly and generally just naps.

Bunny gets along well with her whippet foster brother, but isn't reliant on his company, preferring time with people. 3-4 days a week the dogs are home alone during work hours, and 1-2 days they are taken into the office. Bunny would be happy as an only dog within a family who work from home, or only pop out for short periods. She would also be happy to live with a calm and quiet dog friend if her humans were going to be out more often.

She is a fast learner, mastering carpeted stairs quickly and how to use the dog door to access the yard - but now that she has discovered the good life indoors on couches, that is her preference. She is respectful around food, eating side by side with her whippet foster brother and is learning about yummy treats. She sleeps all night on her bed in her foster parents bedroom and is very excited to see everyone as they get up at varied times to begin each day.

She has had a toe removed due to an old racing injury while in foster care and has been a dream patient during her recovery. She has been incredibly tolerant of all aspects of her aftercare, confirming her gentle and trusting nature. She is beginning to become more playful, collecting soft toys that have squeakers is her favourite game. But for Bunny, nothing is better that snuggling on the couch with her humans. Due to her toe, walks have been short and we have seen very little running and zoomies, although we are seeing hints she would like to play more actively with her foster brother. Despite being kept quiet, she hasn't been bothered by this, happy to just potter around and nap. However, Bunny is a young dog and we believe that as she continues to heal she will become more able to go on longer walks, adjusting to the physical preferences of her forever family.
