- A home where someone is around most of the time

Daisy is a very gentle and quiet little girl when at home who has already lived as a pet and is being rehomed through no fault of her own and so understands what it is like to be a pet in a family home.

She is a small dog and is a loving young girl who is quietly affectionate and just wants to be near her people. She loves walking to our local cafe and is a dream on the lead as she doesn’t pull but walks very nicely. We go for coffee most mornings and she stands quietly by the cafe table waiting for people to approach as she is comfortable meeting new people. She slowly moves to lean on anyone who strokes her for any length of time as she loves the affection.

She is happy on her group walks with other greyhounds and if she meets another dog who wants to play, she can become a little playful as she is still a young dog and her playful puppy nature shines through. She does however quickly settle down if told there is no opportunity for play as she is very respectful.

Daisy is a calm little girl at home and isn’t really interested in toys but she likes to have her teddies around her and will collect them all up if she notices that they have strayed. She prefers to just sit and be with her human while they potter or work from home, content with your company she will happily sleep the day away.

She will tell you when she wants to go in the garden and travels well in the car and is also great around young children, including sharing her bed and eating around them.

Daisy does love her food and will happily eat any food given to her and gently takes dog snacks going back to her bed to eat them.
She has not been fostered with another dog but as she enjoys the company of other dogs, we think she would enjoy being in a home that already has a dog or where a close relative or friend has a dog.

Daisy can be left at home for an hour or two and would suit a retired couple or someone who works mainly from home as she doesn't enjoy being left at home on her own. Having said that this sweet girl won't bother you constantly for affection but just enjoys the companionship of having you around.
