Meet lovely Latisha, often called Tish, Tisha or sometimes just Lovely - a very sweet, striking girl who is small, friendly and super soft to pat. Tish has adjusted well to life in foster care and is now looking for her forever home. Tish is a great dog – she sleeps through the night, loves to eat, is very happy to travel in the car, (does currently require assistance getting in) and enjoys hanging out with you - whatever you might be doing around the home.

Tisha has only just turned 2 years of age and so can get a bit excited when meeting new people and forget to keep all four feet on the ground, she soon settles down and is happy to be included in the conversation and get pats from all visiting humans, but she does love to stick her nose into people’s drinks – definitely a work in progress. She just adores playing with toys, eating is her favourite sport, and she really enjoys a sniff on the grass outside. She has been quick to learn boundaries such as staying out of the kitchen and not getting on beds or couches. Latisha sleeps through the night in the lounge room and always lets you know when she needs to go out for a wee.

This lovely, sweet girl is blind in her left eye, but does have full vision in her right eye. When out walking Tisha tends to stop and freeze from time to time, we think it’s because she is unsure of what is happening around her. But with some encouragement, she will then continue on her walk. Her stopping is improving greatly and will continue to improve as her confidence builds - a bit of patience is all that’s required. Latisha is a country girl, and everything is new to her, bikes, cars, buses, trucks – you name it - it is all new. Time, patience and becoming familiar, will help her ignore all these new things.

Latisha has had two foster homes (due to her initial foster carer going on holidays). Upon arrival at her new foster’s carers home, within 10 minutes she was playing with toys and looking like she had been there forever – totally at home. She also had the wonderful opportunity of being exposed to grandchildren and walking and hanging out with small dogs. All which she has taken in her stride.

Latisha gets on really well with other greyhounds and we believe she would be great living with a confident greyhound or other breed dog to build up her confidence when outside the home. She may be best suited to people who are around more than not and fine living with dog savvy older children. The lovely Latisha wants to find her forever home so she can relax into life and enjoy her forever humans.

Latisha has been to see an Eye Specialist and currently she has one eye medication drop in her blind eye each day to maintain it's health.
