“I love Luci” – This pretty red head (complete with stripes) is the K9 version of Lucielle Ball. She’s loveable, goofy, entertaining and oh so pretty. When you think you’ve seen it all then Luci presents you with another funny surprise. Desi Arnaz would have been impressed.

Luci currently lives with two male greyhounds and they all get on so well. She sleeps through the night and wakes up a happy girl routinely giving every occupant in the house a big “good morning” lick. Her foster brothers cop it in the ear, the hoomans whichever part of their leg, arm or hand is available. She just loves affection and a good routine.

She walks like a dream on the lead and can manage a 2-3km walk but is also happy with a shorter 30 minute walk. Luci loves everyone she meets out on her walks, even other dogs. Small dogs may be mistaken as toys as she is toy mad, especially the squeaky one. So best not to allow her to get too close just in case she thinks the small dog is a stuffed toy. We feel confident that she would even suit a fit senior person because she is so easy to manage and so good on lead.

Luci is the ultimate decorator and loves to decorate her “nests” with toys, cushions, socks, slippers, shoes, couch throws and her foster brothers’ fleecy coats. She travels well in the car with her foster brothers but at this stage she still needs a little help getting into the car.

Luci loves playing with kids. She has no sleep startle or resource guarding but will steal the
kid’s toys when left unguarded. At times she has a bit of energy so a nice grassy yard would be ideal for a zoomie. Luci is a bit of a foody so training her is quite easy. She’s also a quick learner and a bit of a Velcro
hound. Can be a little shy initially but that doesn’t last long.

MEDICAL: Luci has SLO (Symmetric Lupoid Onychodystrophy ) - It is a disease that affects her toenails. And in Luci’s case it is under control and just requires Luci to be on over the counter supplements.
