These lovely boys have lived together in a pet home for several years and due a change of circumstances, they are now seeking a home together, with or without cats!
If R2R is unable to rehome them together, we will consider seperate adoptions.
Ben wears the RED collar and Jye the BLUE collar.

🐾🐾🐾🐾
BEN is a beautiful-natured, people-loving boy with a playful personality, a love of food, and plenty of character. At 7 years old, Ben has perfected the greyhound art of enjoying life: he can be excited and playful one minute and a complete lazy-bones the next! He’s very content with a 20–30 minute walk (and honestly wouldn’t complain if it was only five minutes some days!) before happily snoozing away the rest of the day. Ben absolutely loves people. He wants to be part of whatever you’re doing and will happily follow you from room to room just to make sure he isn’t missing out. He adores pats and attention and isn’t shy about seeking them out. Although independent and perfectly comfortable spending time on his own, when his humans are home, Ben wants to be involved.

He also loves his toys. Whether he’s playing with them or cuddling up with them, his toys are definitely among his favourite possessions — although food might just take the number-one spot! Ben LOVES his food and is certainly not a fussy eater.
Out walking, Ben can initially be a little excited and pull on the lead, but once he settles into his walk, he is calm and likes to take his time sniffing and exploring everything around him. He is non-reactive around other dogs, including small dogs, and has lived happily with two cats, who he largely ignored. Busy and noisy environments don’t tend to worry him either. Ben is also an enthusiastic passenger in the car. He can jump in and out unassisted and loves nothing more than standing up and taking in the world through the window.

He is toilet trained. However, if left inside unsupervised for extended periods, Ben can sometimes find things to chew, so an appropriate setup is important. He is very comfortable spending the working day outside and has previously been left for 8–9 hours while his family worked without any issues. He enjoys having the freedom to come and go as he pleases outdoors.

Ben would suit a home either with or without another dog. He can also live with cats. Because he can become quite excited when showering people with his enthusiasm, a home with older children would be the best fit, as he may be a little overwhelming for toddlers.

More than anything, Ben is a happy, affectionate boy who loves people, food, toys and being involved in family life. He has plenty of personality when it’s time to play, but he’s equally happy finding somewhere comfortable near his humans and sleeping the day away.

🐾🐾🐾🐾

JYE is a beautiful, gentle 6-year-old boy with the biggest, most innocent eyes and a wonderfully soft nature.

Unlike his more outgoing companion Ben, Jye is a shy boy. He can be timid when first meeting new people and needs a little patience and reassurance while he works out that everything is okay. Give him the time to feel safe and you’ll discover a sweet boy who loves attention, wants to be close to his people and will eventually become your little shadow.

Jye is calm and easy to walk on lead. He doesn’t pull and is happy to quietly go about his walk without worrying about other dogs around him. A 20–30 minute daily walk is plenty for him before he’s ready to settle down again.

He enjoys the company of other dogs, although, like with people, he can take a little while to feel completely comfortable. Once bonded, another calm and patient dog can become an important source of confidence, comfort and guidance for Jye. He has no issues with small dogs and is non-reactive towards cats — if anything, the cats seem to intimidate him more than the other way around!

Jye is also wonderfully gentle around children, including little ones, and isn’t bothered by their presence.
At home, Jye prefers the quieter things in life. He’s not particularly interested in toys or boisterous play; he’d much rather have a peaceful spot, some gentle attention and the company of people or another dog. He is comfortable being outside and, when his family is at work, will quietly wait for them to return.

He loves going for a ride in the car, although he sometimes needs a helping hand with his back legs to get in. Once the adventure is over, he’s quite capable of jumping back out himself.

Busy or noisy environments don’t cause Jye to react, but because of his timid nature he may initially feel unsure. With patience, time and reassurance, he becomes increasingly comfortable.
Jye isn’t a big eater but isn’t particularly fussy about his food either.

Jye could suit many different types of households, including families with younger or older children, cats and other dogs. A calm, patient home that allows him to build confidence at his own pace will bring out the best in him. He could also be a lovely companion for an older person looking for a quieter, gentle greyhound.

While Jye can be adopted separately, we feel he would thrive particularly well in a home with another calm and patient dog. Once he forms that bond, he looks to his canine companion for comfort and guidance.
Jye can also be adopted together with his current companion, Ben. The boys do not need to remain together, but for the right family, they would make a beautiful pair.

Jye isn’t the boy who will necessarily rush over and introduce himself straight away. He’s the quiet one watching from the background with those enormous innocent eyes. Give him some patience, kindness and time to trust you, and you’ll be rewarded with an incredibly gentle companion who simply wants to be close to the people he loves.
