Sponsor a Greyhound

All sponsorships are tax deductible. If you can’t adopt or foster a greyhound, why not sponsor a dog? Each sponsorship enables you to directly help a greyhound of your choice to find their pet home.

Here’s an example of how your sponsorship will look on R2R’s website.

Your Sponsorship of a greyhound provides the greyhound you choose from our website with the following:
     Silver Sponsorship - $50

A collar, lead and a warm coat stay with the dog during fostering and when it eventually goes to its forever home.

Platinum Sponsorship - $100

In addition to a collar, lead and a warm coat, your additional contribution helps us offset the cost of dog-food while the greyhound is in foster-care.

The average cost involved in rescuing a greyhound is $900, as there are substantial veterinary costs for health checks, de-sexing, teeth cleaning, vaccination and micro-chipping, as well as providing food for dogs while they are in foster homes learning about pet life.
 

The Sponsor's Name will be entered beside the sponsored dog's photo on our website.

Once the greyhound is adopted, your name will remain on the website, as it will accompany the sponsored dog's picture on the ‘Greys Rehomed’ page of adopted dogs.
 

Can’t think of a present for someone?

Sponsorships are a unique present to give some-one for their birthday, Christmas, work farewell or other special occasion. You may also like to make a sponsorship in the name of a beloved pet or in memory of a past one.

To select a greyhound to Sponsor:

1.  Go to the 'Greyounds for Adoption' page and choose a greyhound.


2.  Then advise us by clicking on this email link (or R2Sponsor@gmail.com) with the:

  • name of the dog you wish to sponsor,

  • whether it is Silver or Platinum,

  • indicate if it is a Sponsorship by you OR a Gift for someone else, by providing the name of the sponsor, with the text exactly as you want it to appear on the website, and

  • name you wish the tax receipt made out to (please note our Treasurer is a volunteer, so this may take a week or two to be emailed out).

 

3.  Then make your $50 or $100 payment by bank transfer by depositing to:
