Meet Jordy!
Jordy is a curious, affectionate boy who will turn four years at the end of September. He enjoys his own space and is okay with being left alone but ultimately of course her prefers to be in the company of his humans, especially near you on the sofa or on the floor with a toy or two.
You can expect a very excited, happy reaction whenever you walk in the door, take him out for a walk, or cuddle with him on the couch – and he will want those cuddles! Jordy would be suited to a home with another greyhound to play with during the day or as a solo dog in a home with dog-savvy owners with lots of love to give. He would be suited to a house with children ten and over.
Jordy generally walks well on a lead and enjoys neighborhood walks, usually thirty minutes
in length twice a day and will sometimes initiate play and tug-of-war with you (and his giant
caterpillar) at home. As a nearly four-year-old, he still has puppy-esque energy and would be suited
to an owner who can work with him on any puppy behavior – he won’t chew on your
shoes but he does like to collect them! Despite his young age, Jordy is content to lie around
the house for most of the day among his blankets and soft toys and is generally reserved and
placid when first meeting new people.
Jordy has quickly become used to the home environment and is generally comfortable with loud
noises such as vacuums, cars, and other suburb sounds. However, he prefers quieter
environments and is not so keen on car rides. He is friendly toward other people (especially
his family) and is okay around medium/large dogs when out walking.
Jordy is toilet-trained and generally sleeps through the night.
