Meet Peanut, a beautiful blue brindle girl who is in search of her forever home. Peanut was a successful racing grey and a mumma bear to two litters of pups. Now it’s her time to put her feet up (literally as she loves to lay upside down) and soak up all the love you can provide her. In return she will be your loyal companion, happily assisting you in the garden, just hanging out, accompanying you on outings in the car or snoozing while you do your daily tasks.
Although a country girl, Peanut is comfortable with traffic noise, happily walking along busy streets. She loves going for a walk, enjoying a combination of stopping and smelling the roses and trotting along at a medium to slow pace. Peanut currently enjoys two walks a day, the evening walk is just a quick 5-10 min stroll/sniff around the block, and a slightly longer walk in the morning, but as she is an older girl she does not require long fast walks.
Peanut walks well on the lead, happily moving past other dogs and standing patiently while her human companion chats to other dogs and their walkers. She is not really interested in other dogs and tends to have a sniff and turns away, however she does usually manage to secure a pat from the dog’s human.
Car travel is a breeze with Peanut, hopping into the back of a hatch back, then curling up and snoozing. She sleeps through the night in her own bed in the lounge room and although not allowed on the couch or bed in her foster home, she would be happy to if given half a chance. Peanut is a smart girl and has learnt boundaries such as not entering the kitchen or bathroom very quickly
Missy Peanut currently lives with a fairly relaxed male Greyhound so a calm large breed doggo companion would be fine or we believe she would be ok as an only dog - preferably with her people around more often than not. Peanut loves sniffing several times a day so access to a small patch of grass would be wonderful
Peanut’s personality is still unfolding, she is truly a beautiful girl in looks and nature and is fabulous to have around, so if you looking for a great companion, please come and meet the very lovely Missy Peanut.
