“Camellias… invite the passerby
to see the delicate flowers
and the beauty of it
and the silence of it
and the moment of it”
Don’t pass by this Camellia and miss her delicate beauty in looks and nature!
Like the flower, she is slowing blossoming into a beautiful being.
Camellia is always ready to give you an excited greeting when you come home and loves getting pats and ear rubs. But she is still shy around strangers and keeps her affection to the people she knows – but of course we know that circle is always getting wider.
She loves her daily walks and gets very excited the moment you pick up a leash or the car keys – but she prefers the quieter streets for her adventures. She can easily jump in the car and settles down for the ride. She is currently living with other greyhounds and gets on great with them. She has been on Greyhound Walks. She is also fine with other breed dogs of any size, and although she has not lived with a cat, her testing indicates she is cat trainable.
She is toilet-trained and will always let you know when she needs to go outside. Camellia sleeps through the night and will stay quietly in bed until you get up. Once, you stir, you might find a gentle head beside your bed who is delighted to get a morning ear-rub. She can be left in the house when you go out, as she is not at all destructive.
She does enjoy running around the house with her toys – especially the ones with a squeaker! If you throw a toy, she enjoys running to pounce on it and carry it off! She looks so cute as she trots past you with a soft toy in her mouth.
Ideally, she needs a quiet home – visiting kids would be fine, but too noisy for her to manage full-time. Another doggie companion would build her confidence more - and if they are playful she will have a ball with them playing chasey and sharing/stealing toys.
