- Can give lots of love to this gorgeous boy!

Lenny is a lovely boy, who has come a long way – All the way from New South Wales after being left without a place to call home. Through R2R he has returned to Victoria where he was born and is now looking for that forever home with people that will always be there for him. He spent over a year as a pet, before being abandoned by his owner – through no fault from Lenny. (refer R2R Facebok post 22/3/2024)

We find Lenny to be a perfect pet! This lovely boy is polite, walks well on lead, and after coming from a country town in NSW has adjusted to the noise of suburbia well. Lenny would really love to find a comfy couch to call his own.

Lenny loves to go for walks, he can be a bit strong on lead from time to time but is easily corrected. I think his most favourite thing is checking out all the new smells.

You can tell Lenny has been a pet, as he is so easy to live with. Lenny is a polite boy, and knows to wait for his food, and his party trick is that he will always sit for treats! He is toilet trained and sleeps through the night and quite a bit of the day. He has been quite quick to learn boundaries such as staying out of the kitchen, waiting at the door before walking through and staying out of the bathroom. Staying off the couch – well he has not quite mastered that one yet, so if you were happy to have your dogo on the couch or the bed, Lenny would happily oblige, in the meantime Lenny is not allowed on couches or beds at his foster home and this continues to be a work in progress.

We assume Lenny was living as a solo dog in NSW, but since coming to Melbourne he has been fostered with other Greyhounds and gets along with them well. Since being in foster Lenny has not been left alone as he has always had his foster buddies with him. Possibly a home where there are other Greys or people around a lot of the time may be good for Lenny.

Although travelling a long way to get to Melbourne, Lenny seems new to travelling in a car, he does require some assistance getting in which should improve as it becomes more normal for him. During the day besides sleeping, Lenny loves playing with his squeaky toys and enjoys carrying his favourite yellow fluffy toy around the house. Like most Greys he is a sticky beak and loves to know what you’re up to and will happily snooze nearby.

Lovely Lenny, does enjoy wandering around the garden and certainly having a good sniff and a bit of a run, maybe his forever home will have a patch of grass, people that are home more than not or perhaps a friendly Greyhound to share his space with.
