This beautiful girl Verna would love to find her forever home. Verna is an affectionate girl who is also independent making her the perfect companion.

Although originally a country girl, Verna is comfortable with traffic noise, happily walking along busy streets. Her favourite thing is going for a walk, enjoying a combination of stopping and smelling the roses and happily trotting along at a medium pace. At the moment she enjoys two walks a day, the evening walk is just a quick 10 min stroll around the block, and a longer walk in the morning.

Verna walks well on the lead, happily walking past other dogs. She can be unsure of strange dogs coming too close. Verna enjoys travelling in the car and will normally jump into the back of a hatch back, but sometimes needs a little assistance, once she is in, she curls up and chills out happy to go for a drive.

This girl likes to hang out and snooze, she changes between snoozing in a room where you may be working on the computer or watching TV to being a bit more independent and taking herself off into another room for peace and quiet. She sleeps through the night in her own bed in the lounge room and although not allowed onto the couch or bed in her foster home, she would be happy to avail herself if given half a chance. Verna is a very smart girl and has learnt boundaries such as not entering the kitchen or bathroom.

Till recently Verna lived with another male foster Greyhound, but is doing fine as an only dog, so either situation would be suitable for her. Although not currently living with children, she has been good with the children she has met.

We think Verna would be really happy with folk that are around more often than not and if there is a small patch of grass for sniffing and bit of a zoom that would be wonderful. Although some would say Verna is an older girl, she can be full of beans and may jump a littlr on first meeting and gets very excited at meal times.

This beautiful girl is wonderful to have around, so if you are looking for a companion, please do come and meet Miss Verna.
