Indi just loves going to the beach - it is her favourite place to walk. Sometimes she just likes to stand in the water and look out serenely at the blue ocean.

 

Indi is a very pretty fawn brindle. She is a sweet girl, who when she first arrived was very withdrawn, but in the 5 weeks in foster, she has blossomed beautifully, and her personality continues to shine. She would do very well in a household with other dogs. She LOVES to be around them, and it doesn’t matter if they are big or small.

 

She walks well on a lead most of the time, although if very excited and she wants to go somewhere, she does pull, and sometimes does a little leap. But she is improving. She feels quite safe in her space in the house, and doesn’t get anxious if we leave her home for a couple of hours, although she’s happy when we return.

She isn’t fond of loud noises, especially traffic, but also some music. Her least favourite place to walk is into town…she doesn’t like to go there at all! We’ve tried to expose her a number of times, but she hasn’t changed her mind. But Indi does LOVE to go to the beach. It is her happy place. She’ll splash along the edge of the water, and wags her tail the whole time. She also loves walking on the rail trail, and in the botanic park near our house.

She’s house trained well. She loves her sleep. She is becoming more playful each day.

Very gentle in nature to other dogs and to humans. We’ve had kids pat her, and she is fine with it. She looks to us, and can be shy with strangers…that being said, she’s attached herself to some of our friends rather easily.

 

She’ll make someone such a lovely companion for someone who likes a quieter lifestyle.
